Hello 8th Grade students and families,
We are excited to offer you this online portal in which we will post information and the registration for the 8th Grade Graduation & Reception.
A quick overview:
Reception & Reservations:
- Based on numerous requests from family members - this year's event is a reception - not a sit down dinner.
- We will be featuring a hearty Dessert Bar and Hors Devours.
- Each graduate will receive 3 complimentary tickets (parent/guardian & 8th grade student)
- Up to 3 additional tickets may be purchased for guests.
- Additional guests beyond that will be put on a wait list - if there is extra space you will be contacted in the order in which the request was made. Please list this on your registration page.
- Do not pay for more than 3 ticketed guests at this time - if approved, you will receive instructions.
- Registration must be completed by May 22nd.
Accessibility:
- Seating - is not assigned.
- If you have a family member who requires special seating accommodations, please list this on your registration form. We will have reserved seats for those with accessibility needs.

- Will be mailed to your home before May 1st.
- A digital version has been created in a Facebook page in which you can share with family and friends. http://bit.ly/ndesgrad2015fb

Graduation Attire & Additional Instructions: ( Message from Sr. Mary Barbara Knuff and Mrs. Kathy McPhillips)
The graduation gown will be worn during the special graduation celebrations highlighted below. Please look for these to come home with your child the first week of May. The graduation fee helps to cover the cost of the gowns, diplomas, flowers and celebrations. The $25 fee is made payable to NDES, if it was not already paid with your Washington payment.
The traditional eighth grade clap out will take place on Monday, June 1st at 2:20 pm. Our eighth graders will walk through the school as classes send them on their way with warm wishes and a true NDES clapping celebration.
Parents are invited to join us for our end of the year school liturgy at 8:30 am on June 1st. The graduates are to come to school at their usual time and in their school uniform. They should bring their graduation gown with them to wear at the Mass. Following Mass, the eighth graders will proceed with their regular school day. This will be their last day of classes. There will be no classes on Tuesday, June 2nd.
Graduation is a dress-up occasion. It will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd in the NDEC Chapel. Graduates are to be at school by 6:00 P.M. dressed in their graduation gowns and are asked to report to homeroom. Ladies should wear a nice, appropriate dress under the gown and gentlemen should wear dress pants and dress shirt with a tie under the gown. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 P.M.
Thank you from the entire 8th Grade Grad Planning Team. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
